<p align='center'> <strong>CITY OF NEW YORK</strong></p> <p align='center'> <strong>DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING PRESERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT</strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> Pursuant to Section 695(2)(b) of the General Municipal Law and Section 1802(6)(j) of the Charter, notice is hereby given that the Department of Housing Preservation and Development ("<u>HPD</u>") of the City of New York ("<u>City</u>") has proposed an amendment to the terms of the sale of the following City-owned property (collectively, "<u>Disposition Area</u>") in the Borough of Manhattan:</p> <p> </p> <p> <u>Address</u> <u>Block / Lot</u></p> <p> </p> <p> 21 West 118th Street 1717 / 23</p> <p> </p> <p> The sale was approved by the Board of Estimate by Resolutions adopted on December 18, 1986 (Cal. No. 12) and July 16, 1987 (Cal. No. 10) and the Disposition Area was conveyed by the City by Indenture dated as of December 11, 1987 (the "<u>Deed</u>"). The Deed required rehabilitation of the building on the Disposition Area and subsequent use of the Disposition Area as transitional housing for homeless persons for at least 15 years until converted to permanent housing. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Disposition Area has been continuously used as transitional housing in accordance with the Deed since completion of rehabilitation in 1990 and is intended to be converted to permanent housing for homeless families with financing provided in whole or in part by HPD's Supportive Housing Loan Program.</p> <p> </p> <p> This submission is for an amendment to the Deed to permit development on the Disposition Area of a community facility with no reduction in the space provided for homeless housing. The community facility would be constructed on a portion of the Disposition Area which is currently undeveloped and is not intended to be financed by the City. </p> <p> </p> <p> PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held on July 15, 2015, at Second Floor Conference Room, 22 Reade Street, Manhattan at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be reached on the calendar, at which time and place those wishing to be heard will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed use of a portion of the Disposition Area for a community facility pursuant to Section 695(2)(b) of the General Municipal Law and Section 1802(6)(j) of the Charter.</p> <p> </p> <p> Individuals requesting sign language interpreters should contact the Mayor's Office Of Contract Services, Public Hearings Unit, 253 Broadway, Room 915, New York, New York 10007, (212) 788-7490, no later than five (5) business days prior to the public hearing.
