<p> <strong>NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN</strong> that the Department of Housing Preservation and Development ("HPD") of the City of New York ("City") has proposed an amendment to the terms of the sale of the following property (“Project Area”) previously conveyed by the City in the Borough of the Bronx:</p> <p> </p> <p> <u>Address</u> <u>Block/Lot(s)</u></p> <p> </p> <p> 1172 East Tremont Avenue 3909/8</p> <p> 1160 Lebanon Street 4007/15</p> <p> </p> <p> The Mayor held a public hearing on April 13, 2011 (Cal. No. 5) and (i) approved the designation of the</p> <p> Disposition Area as an Urban Development Action Area, and (ii) approved the project ("Original Project")</p> <p> as an Urban Development Action Area Project, and (iii) approved the sale of the Disposition Area to</p> <p> Lebanon West Farms Housing Development Corporation ("Sponsor"), pursuant to Article 16 of the</p> <p> General Municipal Law. </p> <p> </p> <p> This submission requests approval of a proposed amendment (“Amended Project”) to the project approved by the Mayor. Under the Original Project, the City sold the Disposition Area to the Sponsor on June 28, 2012 for the nominal price of $1.00 per tax lot. The Sponsor also delivered an enforcement note and mortgage to the City for the remainder of the Disposition Area’s appraised value. The Sponsor was then required to construct three buildings on the Disposition Area containing a total of 140 rental dwelling units plus one unit for a superintendent and approximately 7,444 square feet of commercial space. In 2015, the Sponsor completed the three buildings, but constructed approximately 7,909 square feet of space for commercial or community facility use (instead of 7,444 square feet of space exclusively for commercial use). The Amended Project would include such commercial or community facility use instead of exclusively commercial use. In addition, the Original Project identified the address as 1176 East Tremont Avenue and 1160 Lebanon Street instead of 1172 East Tremont Avenue and 1160 Lebanon Street. The Amended Project, which would include such commercial or community facility use instead of exclusively commercial use and would correct the address, is otherwise the same as the Original Project. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Amendment to Land Disposition Agreement and Amendment to Project Summary are available for public examination at the office of HPD, 100 Gold Street, Room 5-A4, New York, New York on business days during business hours.</p> <p> </p> <p> PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held on May 25, 2016 at 1 Centre Street, Manhattan, 19<sup>th</sup> Floor Conference Room at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be reached on the calendar, at which time and place those wishing to be heard will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed sale of the Disposition Area pursuant to Section 695(2)(b) of the General Municipal Law and Section 1802(6)(j) of the Charter.</p> <p> </p> <p> Individuals requesting sign language interpreters should contact the Mayor's Office Of Contract Services, Public Hearings Unit, 253 Broadway, Room 915, New York, New York 10007, (212) 788-7490, no later than five (5) business days prior to the public hearing.
