The comfort stations at the Beach 59th St. Playground are in need of reconstruction/upgrades. The board is asking that the dilapidated conditions of the men's and women's restrooms as well as the insufficient storage and maintenance space be remedied to modern standards with proper heating and air conditioning for visitors and park staff. As you may be aware, these comfort station upgrades were not a part of the recently completed reconstruction of the Playground unveiled in 2023.
